The ACLU in 2003 filed a lawsuit against the government demanding to be given more photographs of the prisoner “abuse” at Abu Grhaib. The photos were being withheld by the Government because they will of course be used by the far-left and its teammate Al Qaida to stir up more Anti-American sentiment throughout the world. The ACLU, The American Civil Liberties Union has been a political tool first and foremost and has put its American civil liberties duty on the backburner.

The American people have overwhelmingly supported the treatment of prisoners during this war and a significant number of Americans feel they are being treated better than they deserve. With that being said, the ACLU has won its case to have these photos released and will certainly use them to their benefit. We as country all know what took place at Abu Grhaib and we all know what the pictures are going to reveal. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein ruled Thursday that the photographs and four videotapes must be released. He wrote, “"Our nation does not surrender to blackmail, and fear of blackmail is not a legally sufficient argument to prevent us from performing a statutory command…" I’m not sure what that means but I do know what these photographs and videotapes are going to be used for. They will be used to demonize the American Military and the Bush administration for the express purpose of hurting the military’s ability to fight this war. There are certain organizations in this country who truly do want us to fail in Iraq simply because the commander In Chief is George W. Bush. That is obvious because if this war were being led by Bill Clinton the ACLU would not be systematically undermining the effort.
