Nuclear Iran, Tactical Nuclear Strikes

It Just Got Serious People: Strike Iran and Do it Now! **Iran enriched Uranium**
Seymour Hersh wrote, “The Bush Administration, while publicly advocating diplomacy in order to stop Iran from pursuing a nuclear weapon, has increased clandestine activities inside Iran and intensified planning for a possible major air attack. Current and former American military and intelligence officials said that Air Force planning groups are drawing up lists of targets, and teams of American combat troops have been ordered into Iran, under cover, to collect targeting data and to establish contact with anti-government ethnic-minority groups. The officials say that President Bush is determined to deny the Iranian regime the opportunity to begin a pilot program, planned for this spring, to enrich uranium.” He also broke a story that has some people across the country and indeed the world wondering what will happen. It turns out, according to Hersh, that President Bush and his military planners are considering a tactical nuclear strike against Iranian targets. Don’t confuse that with an all out nuclear strike; this would be a tactical weapon know as the nuclear bunker-buster. It is designed to penetrate deep into the earth’s surface and explode underground. The main focus in this weapon is its ground shock capability. Iran has hardened some if its key weapons facilities deep underground in the event of American air assault. Not only do they have bunkers for their weapons facilities but they have recently undergone efforts to fortify their command and control apparatus [sotry]. These bunkers are designed to withstand a conventional air strike and the conventional weaponry of the United States Military. Therefore the consideration of these nuclear bunker-busters is on the table…at least according to Hersh.

Frankly, while many people of a certain political party are outraged at the very thought of using this type of weapon, I am 100% supportive of the consideration. However, at this time, I do feel that this story is a phony story. It is phony not in that he is lying; it is phony because the story was leaked to him for a purpose. You might have notice the saber-rattling coming out of Iran and their new weapons tests. Well, that is part of their propaganda effort just as the "unnamed source" in the Hersh story is a propaganda tool we are using. It's called plausible deniability. It is a way to send a message to Iran and at the same time a way to deny that message publicly. It's a propaganda war and as you have probably noticed we have been losing that war for some time now. If Iran knows the US is willing to take out their underground facilities with tactical nukes they know we are serious. Once Iran started to intimidate the world by revealing the secret weapons they say they have, the United States went right into saying, “hey, all the underwater missiles you test will be nothing compared to what will be unleashed on your command and control” However, it might be true. Like I said, I hope this option is given serious thought by the administration.

What exactly would this mean for the United States and the world community? We know the world community is corrupt and unwilling to do anything in terms of Iran. We know that when push comes to shove Europe, aside from the UK, will cut tail and run away from necessary confrontation. Luckily Britain has a Prime Minister that is not as weak as the people in his country wish him to be.

This is what is going to happen. Iran will not give up its WMD program and in fact, their former president, Hashemi Rafsanjani, has confessed that Iran has already successfully enriched uranium and developed nuclear fuel [
story]. This revelation highlights the subjective reality of the left and calls for the world to recognize the objective reality for a change. Believe it or not; this has come down to the end game. It’s up to you to choose what side you are on. I know many of you Bush-haters have trouble being on America’s side but now would be the time to stop your foolishness and partisanship. This problem is not going away and it will NOT be solved diplomatically. The question is this: Are you willing to allow Iran to acquire the nuclear weapons it so desperately seeks or will you support preventing that outcome by all acceptable means necessary. On one side there is Iran being a nuclear power, which is unacceptable, and on the other hand there is the unwanted but necessary action the U.S. must take. Unfortunately, in the middle is an Iranian civilian population that is more or less, pro-American. As of this moment, U.S. covert ops is connecting with anti-government elements in Iran and as long as the United States keeps collateral damage to a minimum the population, I think, is supportive of air strikes. And the point I think is most important is that nothing that might happen due to a U.S. led strike is as bad as Iran having nuclear weapons.
--I wrote this article right before the news broke on Iran. Since then, everything has changed. The strikes have now been proven necessary for the pacifists and now I support using all means to stop them...including tactical nuclear bunker strikes.--
