So This is What They Mean by Diverse

If "diversity" means, intolerant of any view opposing your extreme beliefs and hysterical derangement, then yes, the far-left is very diverse. -As you probably already know, the Democratic Party recently proved just how diverse they can be by pulling out of a round of debates hosted by (god forbid) Fox News.

Naturally, the pressure came from some of the well known left-nuts like the Kos-Clown and the organization that admitted to buying and paying for the Democratic Party, MoveOn.Org. First they got John Edwards, who they literally own, to pull out of the debates and just yesterday forced the Nevada Democrats to withdraw from their commitment.

Majority Leader Harry Reid gave us a little
song and dance on the reason why he decided to pull-out of the event. According to him, the decision was based solely on the comments made by Roger Ailes (the chairman of Fox) about Barack Obama in a speech during the 1st Amendment Awards:

"We cannot, as good Democrats, put our party in a position to defend such comments," the letter said. "In light of his comments, we have concluded that it is not possible to hold a presidential debate that will focus on our candidates and are therefore cancelling our August debate".

So what, exactly, were the comments that forced Harry Reid to backout? Well, it was a joke in a series of jokes, meant as jokes, understood to be jokes by Harry Reid that compared Barack Obama, in a light way, to Osama Bin Laden. In fact, it wasn’t even at the expense of Obama; but rather at the expense of the President:

It is true that I said Britney Spears looked great at the Academy Awards. and I later found out it was Jack Nicholson.

It is true that just in the last two weeks Hillary Clinton has had over 200 phone calls telling her in order to win the presidency she must stay on the road for the next two years. It is not true they were all from Bill.

And it is true that Barack Obama is on the move. I don't know if it's true that President Bush called Musharraf and said, 'Why can't we catch this guy?'
Obviously, it had nothing to do with Roger Ailes but it is funny to see Harry Reid try to blame Fox News, not MoveOn.Org for the withdrawal. My favorite line was: “We cannot, as good democrats, be put in a position to defend such comments”. -I almost fell out of my chair laughing...

But as “Good Democrats”, they can be told what to do by the most fringe elements of their party at the detriment of tolerance and diverse opinion? Ahh, I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.
