Democrats Tout Their Electability in ‘08

Sure, if Al Qaeda were eligible to vote

The Democratic presidential contenders appealed to party leaders for support on Friday, with Barack Obama touting his ability to attract new voters and John Edwards promising to reclaim Washington from special interests.

Barely a month before Iowa kicks off the state-by-state battle to pick candidates in the November 2008 general election, the Democratic contenders emphasized their ability to beat the Republicans and win the White House.

"I will eat him alive," Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden said of Republican front-runner Rudy Giuliani, the former New York mayor, in a speech to about 400 Democratic National Committee members and hundreds of other activists gathered…

Obama couldn’t beat his own meat with three extra hands on a slow day. LOL

Democrats have deluded themselves to the point of being as useless as a one-legged man trying to have sex with a fat woman! -I don’t even know what that means. :-)

Liberals Are So Pathetic…

…that they create fake mug shots of members of the Bush administration in order to feel special. And some people, as you will see, are moved by the patheticism.

Fake Mug Shot of Bush at Public Library -- Two artists created portraits of President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and other White House officials that are suitable for hanging -- in a police station. The photos are on display at the New York Public Library -- and some people said that's not an appropriate place. Fox 5's Rob Malcolm explains in his video report.

Prostitute Auctions Sex for Charity

Doing her part for the community.

- A Chilean prostitute has auctioned 27 hours of sex to raise money for the country's largest charity during an annual fund-raising campaign.

Maria Carolina became an overnight celebrity in the conservative Roman Catholic country, making news headlines and appearing on talk shows since she made her unusual donation to the televised charity event, which runs for 27 hours starting on Friday evening.

"I've already auctioned off the 27 hours of love," Maria Carolina told Reuters on Wednesday, saying she had raised about $4,000. "One of my clients already paid. It seemed like a good deed to him."

Billy Boy Was Against the War

In Clinton speak I would say: he’s somewhat accurate in his misleading assertion that he was against the war in Iraq but agreed with the use of military force...

During a campaign swing for his wife, former President Bill Clinton said flatly yesterday that he opposed the war in Iraq “from the beginning” — a statement that is more absolute than his comments before the invasion in March 2003.

Before the invasion, Mr. Clinton did not precisely declare that he opposed the war. A week before military action began, however, he did say that he preferred to give weapons inspections more time and that an invasion was not necessary to topple Saddam Hussein.

At the same time, he also spoke supportively about the 2002 Senate resolution that authorized military action against Iraq.

Advisers to Mr. Clinton said yesterday that he did oppose the war, but that it would have been inappropriate at the time for him, a former president, to oppose — in a direct, full-throated manner — the sitting president’s military decision.

Of course, if Iraq becomes the historic stable democracy that it might be, Clinton will have supported it and would try to take credit for it.

A Battle is Underway for the Future of the Middle East

(APNews) Bush, in his address, defended the decision to hold the Annapolis conference [Mid East Peace summit], saying it was the right time to launch peace talks and urging representatives of more than 50 participating countries and organizations to support the effort.

"First, the time is right because Palestinians and Israelis have leaders who are determined to achieve peace," he said. "Second, the time is right because a battle is under way for the future of the Middle East and we must not cede victory to the extremists. Third, the time is right because the world understands the urgency of supporting these negotiations."

One Step Closer to the Bionic Man

What a time to be alive:

Amputees could "feel" their lost arms and hands after scientists reconnected the nerves to their chests in an experiment that holds promise for providing sensation in artificial limbs, according to a report released Monday.

In two patients who had lost arms, scientists at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Northwestern University rerouted to their chests the key nerves that had transferred sensation from the hand to the brain.

After several months during which the nerves reestablished themselves in the chest muscles, physical pressure, heat and cold, and electrical stimulus were applied to the areas of the nerves and the patients said they could feel their missing arms and hands.

In some of the testing, the patients could even specify which area on the hand they could feel; one, a woman identified as STH, at one point pinpointed a strong feeling of the skin stretching and the joint position of her ring finger being extended.

Moreover, the patients consistently distinguished between the sensation of the chest nerves and those of the missing limbs.

The scientists suggest their success in reviving such specific sensation identified with missing limbs could lead to establishing nervous system feedback in prosthetic devices like artificial hands, arms, feet and legs.

To Believe, Or Not to Believe

Religion scares me. But so does atheism. Personally, I think that anyone who devoutly believes in a religious God or knows, without doubt, that God does not exist, is a person with an inherent disposition to be misled. A person willing to mislead him or herself is a frightening thing. Hence, “The Twisted Logic of the Blind Crusader is Always Dangerous”.

We are seeing this movement of extremism expand across all ideological spheres. I wrote a very good essay last year about gay marriage and I saw the issue as a, “
Front in the Battleground of Ideologies”. And a battleground is exactly what we are in; because everything is a religion now.

-Global Warming is a religion. -Atheism is a religion. -Liberalism is a religion. -Conservatism is a religion. -Political Correctness is a religion -Even extremism is becoming a religion. As a scientist, if you disagree with the hysteria of global warming, you’re ostracized by the community. If you happen to be a Democrat and you support the war in Iraq, the party literally tries to destroy your career. If you’re like me (a republican) who happens to disdain organized religion and supports (if voted by the state) gay marriage, you get attacked and lose your readership.

Reasoned thinking and rationale debate is quickly disappearing. Everyone has picked sides and because they are willing to blindly follow that side, we can no longer expect honest discourse. And in many cases the sides people pick have little to do with the issue itself; but rather, it’s an attempt to avoid being on the side in which they have been misled (by their side) into thinking is morally inferior. –get it!

Report: Feds may be Funding Terrorism

Uh, how ‘bout we get our shit together.

The U.S. government can't be sure taxpayer money isn't winding up in terrorists' pockets, it admitted recently.

According to a recent government audit stamped "Sensitive but Unclassified" obtained by the Chicago Tribune, the U.S. Agency for International Development can't be sure that some of the billions in aid it distributes annually doesn't go to individuals or groups with terrorist ties, the paper reported…

Rep. Mark Kirk, D-Ill., requested the audit after learning that USAID, the nation's largest distributor of foreign aid, had on occasion approved money for questionable recipients, including the Palestinian group Hamas, labeled a terrorist group by the U.S. government, and a Bosnian group whose president was barred from entering the United States.

Media Reports Reflect Optimism About Iraq

Many major media outlets are reluctantly covering the huge strides of progress we have made in Iraq over the last few months. -The long dissipated sense of hope for our mission is slowly returning and by God, some news networks have pushed their political activism aside long enough to appreciate the effort.

U.S. News & World Report) On Thanksgiving Day, reports on ABC and NBC described an improving security situation in Iraq, reflecting the cautiously optimistic tone of recent reporting on the US mission in that country. NBC Nightly News said Thanksgiving in Baghdad was "almost a celebration," adding, "Today we see traffic jams where Al Qaeda once saw targets."

ABC World News led with a story that noted that "last year, on this day, Baghdad was in lockdown, after one of this city's deadliest suicide bombings." But "the headlines in recent weeks have been different." Yesterday, ABC's Baghdad correspondent, Terry McCarthy, "got an extraordinary look at the country, traveling with the number two US general there. They made nine stops, visiting several communities that have been notorious for violence ... Civilian deaths in Baghdad are down 65% compared to six months ago. Car bombs are down 47%."

Meanwhile, Democrats are still doing everything they can to stop a U.S. victory.

Study: Dems the Party of Paris Hilton

Democrats are already the party led by hypocritical, shitbag liars…

Washington Times) Democrats like to define themselves as the party of poor and middle-income Americans, but a new study says they now represent the majority of the nation's wealthiest congressional districts.

In a state-by-state, district-by-district comparison of wealth concentrations based on Internal Revenue Service income data, Michael Franc, vice president of government relations at the Heritage Foundation, found that the majority of the nation's wealthiest congressional jurisdictions were represented by Democrats.

They pretend to be the party of the poor… they’re not! They pretend to be the party of middle-class America… they’re not! They pretend to care for the troops… they don’t! But they do represent the wealthiest congressional districts.

As I said: hypocritical, bags of shit

Is Oprah One-Sided?

Okay, since nobody is ever willing to ask that type of question about such a beloved person… I guess I’ll be the one to ask. Her movies, the organizations she donates her time and money to, and now her support for a particular presidential candidate indicates to me that her interests are, natuarally, for the so-called African American cause; and that cause alone. Of Course, there is nothing wrong with helping African Americans (or Africa) and she should be applauded for it. However, there is a problem with Oprah using her enormous influence to support Democratic candidate Barack Obama.

The Presidency of the United States is not a joke, nor is it some high popularity award. And just because Barack Obama is black and happens to be an attractive individual, it does not mean that he should be president. –Oprah using her influence to help elect a person simply because he’s a young black man is completely unacceptable to me. Because Obama is half white and if he happened to be light skinned like his mother, Oprah would not be supporting his presidential bid.

Oprah should be more responsible.

Dems Blame Republicans for Not Surrendering

Only in Democrat-land does not wanting to surrender in Iraq mean that it’s your fault for holding up the funds necessary to win.

…two leading House Democrats said Tuesday the Pentagon was using scare tactics to try to goad Congress into passing another war spending bill.

And Reps. David Obey and John Murtha said they won't budge. Obey, D- Wis., chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, and Murtha, D- Pa., head of the panel's Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, said they won't support more money for the war this year unless President Bush accepts a timetable for troop withdrawals.

Last week, the House passed a $50 billion bill that would keep operations afloat for several more months, but sets a goal of bringing most troops home by December 2008. After Bush threatened to veto the measure, Senate Republicans blocked it.

"If the president wants that $50 billion released, all he has to do is to call the Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell, and ask him to stop blocking it," Obey told reporters.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement Tuesday that Democrats will always insist that troops get what they need.

"If there is any delay in funding for our men and women in uniform, the responsibility will squarely lie with the president and Senate Republicans who are blocking the bill," Pelosi, D-Calif., said.

Review: Redacted

Pure leftist, anti-American propaganda.

I forced myself to sit through “Redacted” and I can honestly say that I would have rather been hit in the face for the entire hour and a half. I tried very hard to come into the film with an open mind because after all of the whining about
Lions for Lambs on the part of conservative commentators, that movie was far from what it was billed.

However, Redacted was every bit the shameless anti-military war porn that previous reports have indicated. War porn designed to paint the armed forces as a bunch of criminals who serve to avoid jail time and who take out their murderous rage on innocent people. –It’s our fault. Iraqi insurgents are heroes. The US is the bad guy. And we should be ashamed – That is what this movie is about.

Ultra Grim Milestone Ignored by MSM

The media just loves their “grim milestones” when reporting on the War on Terror. I wonder why they have chosen to ignore this one. Hmmm?:

the 10,000th attack by Islamic terrorists and militants since 9/11, which is responsible for approximately 60,000 dead and 90,000 injured.

Dem Congress Has Lower Approval than O.J.

During the murder trial of O.J Simpson his favorability rating was at 16%. And currently, the Democrat-controlled congress is at the historic low of 11%. -Link-

That’s all I have to say about that.

Historic Cooperation on the Korean Peninsula

After the Bush administration’s brilliant diplomatic efforts successfully dealt with the threat of a nuclear North Korea, both the North and South have agreed to joint economic projects. Not to mention a lessening of war based tension.

(New York Times) — The prime ministers of North and South Korea announced a significant package of cross-border economic projects today to help rebuild the North’s broken economy and ease military tension on the divided Korean Peninsula by increasing human and cargo traffic across the demilitarized zone.

At the end of three days of talks here, North Korea’s prime minister, Kim Yong-il, and his South Korean counterpart, Han Duck-soo, agreed to start cross-border freight-train service for the first time in more than half a century, scheduling the first, and highly symbolic, border crossing a week before South Korea holds presidential elections on Dec. 19.

Then, starting in the first half of 2008, fishing boats from the two Koreas will work together in a joint fishing zone in the same frontier waters where their respective navies engaged in a bloody skirmish in 2002, the prime ministers said.

Also, the North will relocate its warships from Haeju, a naval base near the border, to make room for South Korean cargo ships and a new industrial complex to be built there by South Korean investors. Construction will begin as early as next year.

“These projects will chip away at the DMZ,” said Koh Yu-hwan, an expert on North Korea at Dongguk University in Seoul. “They are steppingstones toward what we hope will become a confederation of the two Koreas before eventual reunification.”

Thanks to President Bush, Condoleezza Rice, and the entire administration, there is actual talk of reunification. There is actual progress.

Man Dies After Getting Stuck in Cat Door

The sad thing is: the man died.

(Fox News) A woman in Florida made a startling discovery over the weekend when she found her boyfriend stuck in her house’s cat door, reported.

Pardon the Corruption

Hillary Clinton has been receiving donations from people who were pardoned by her husband during the very end of his presidency. –I’m just recovering from the shock:

ABC News)Three recipients of controversial 11th-hour pardons issued by former President Bill Clinton in January 2001 have donated thousands of dollars to the presidential campaign of his wife, Democratic front-runner Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., according to campaign finance records examined by ABC News, in what some good government groups said created an appearance of impropriety.

Army Deserters Lose Bid for Asylum

(CBS News) Two U.S. Army deserters who fled to Canada and sought refugee status on grounds of their opposition to the war in Iraq have lost their bids to have the Supreme Court of Canada hear their cases.

The court refused Thursday to hear the appeals of Jeremy Hinzman and Brandon Hughey, who were rejected by Canada's Immigration and Refugee Board in 2005.

The board ruled they would not be at risk of their lives if they returned to the United States, nor were they at risk of "cruel and unusual treatment or punishment."

Hinzman and Hughey deserted the U.S. Army in 2004 after learning their units were to be deployed to Iraq to fight in a war they have called immoral and illegal. The men argue that serving in Iraq would force them to commit crimes against civilians, and that they would be persecuted if forced to return to the United States.

When these people return I hope they are prosecuted for desertion. Not only because of the desertion, but because they made a spectacle of themselves. They fed the insane anti-war movement at the expense of their fellow soldiers.

And they did so maliciously. Hinzman applied for conscientious objector status because he didn’t want to fight the Taliban in Afghanistan… It had nothing to do with Iraq. He was afraid to fight in Afghanistan and they used Iraq to undermine the military. Now their bullshit excuses won't save them from facing charges

Hillary Against Giving Licenses to Illegals

Now that Hillary Clinton’s numbers are slipping and the other Democratic candidates are gaining traction, she has decided to be against providing legal documents to illegal, undocumented immigrants.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday came out against granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrants, after weeks of pressure in the presidential race to take a position on a now-failed ID plan from her home state governor.

Clinton has faced criticism from candidates in both parties for her noncommittal answers on New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer's attempt to allow illegal immigrants in his state to receive driver's licenses.

"I support Governor Spitzer's decision today to withdraw his proposal," Clinton said in a statement. "As president, I will not support driver's licenses for undocumented people and will press for comprehensive immigration reform that deals with all of the issues around illegal immigration including border security and fixing our broken system."

Obviously, there are dozens of reasons why this country will not elect Hillary Clinton to be the President of the United States. If her only conviction is to be without conviction because she knows her true convictions disgust the American people… Well, you get the picture.

Review: Lions for Lambs

I went to see "Lions for Lambs" today… and by “went” I mean I walked to my room and downloaded it off the internet for free. -Like I’d pay to see this crap!

If you want to see the best War on Terror movie you have to go back to before there was even a War on Terror (well, at least before we started fighting it). The movie stars Denzel Washington along with Bruce Willis and Tony shalhoub. It is called “The Siege”.

But back to Lions for Lambs: Tom Cruise is the aspiring, young hawkish-Republican and Meryl Streep is the veteran liberal news reporter; while Redford is the open-minded college professor mentoring a misguided student whose anti-establishment views are typically ignorant.

The movie is the basic, simpleminded debate we see everywhere on every news network for 24 hours a day. "Lions for Lambs" is literally one tired political talking point after another (from both sides). For example, Streep’s character makes the comment, referring to Iraq, that “we attacked a country that didn’t attack us”. And the Republican brings out the, “Do you want to win the war on terror” line. Nothing in this movie is thought-provoking or new. –the “Mission Accomplished” banner was even brought up.

However, the story is not entirely one sided, it is a reasonably balanced movie; although, Redford gives the moral high ground, not surprisingly, to the news reporter. It is also clear that the point of the film is not to initiate a high level of debate but rather to express his misguided contempt for the media for allowing the Bush Administration to go to war 'unchallenged'.

Plus, the reports of Al Qaeda being decimated in Iraq and success of the troop surge makes his Lions for Lambs somewhat outdated. Overall, the movie is boring and lacks political intelligence.

Gym Coach Runs Girl to Death?

Family members believe, on November 6th, the Physical Education teacher at Dona Ana Elementary School might have been pushing 7 year old Destinie Martinez during a one mile run when she began throwing up and collapsed.

Instead of rushing young Destinie immediately to the local hospital she was taken to the nurse’s office where the nurse performed CPR in an effort to save her life. However, I was told she had a pulse at that time. An ambulance was summoned and one half hour after she collapsed, she arrived at Mountain View Regional Medical Center where she died.

Martinez was born with a heart defect known to the school and was carrying a note written by her mother indicating her inability to endure certain levels of physical activity due to Destinie feeling ill earlier in the morning. Despite this knowledge, it is believed she was running at the time of her collapse. --OPN -Las Cruces Sun News Has Other Details-

Destinie Martinez was laid to rest this weekend.

Sen. Dodd: 9/11 Mastermind has Moral High Ground

Democratic presidential candidate, Chris Dodd, gave us a little bit of that blame-America nonsense made infamous by his Party. Hey, but I guess it’s what they do:

Compare that case [the Moussaoui trial] to the case of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who organized the attacks of 9/11. He was held in a secret prison, where he claims he was tortured severely. Whether he is lying or not, by our actions we have allowed Khalid Mohammed to claim the moral high ground. Khalid Mohammed plays martyr to a world that is inclined to believe it. -

Thousands of Americans were saved by our actions. Obviously Chris Dodd does not care. He cares only about one thing. And believe me, it’s not the American people

My Take on 'Dog the Bounty Hunter'

What’s the big deal, bitch?

It’s funny how “Dog” is a convicted murderer but the worst thing he’s done in his life is use the word “nigger” to make a point.

Maybe it’s just me but I didn’t find the recorded conversation one bit offensive. It’s probably because I’m not easily offended. In fact, unless my country is somehow being slandered, I’m not offended by anything. -- Scratch that:

What I find offensive about this whole situation are the hypocrites who are trying to ruin this man’s career because he said a word that they, like most us, have said or thought at some point in our lives. Hell, every black person who has been "offended" by what Dog Chapman said has (I guarantee) used disparaging remarks to describe white, Mexican, and Asian people.

Everyone does it in their own little circle but the second it becomes public, then all of a sudden it’s oh my God, how can someone think that. Gimme a fuckin’ break! And Get off you high horse because your phony ass don’t fool me.

NOVEMBER 6--An al-Qaeda operative serving life in prison for his role in the bombing of American embassies in Africa contends that his rights are being violated by U.S. jailers who have denied him access to Arabic publications and religious books, limited his mail privileges, and no longer allow him to use a Walkman.

Mohamed Al-Owhali, 32, claims that his incarceration at the "supermax" federal prison in Florence, Colorado has left him so severely depressed that he stopped eating for months… In a new U.S. District Court lawsuit, Al-Owhali wants a judge to order prison brass to provide him with expedited mail services, expanded phone privileges, and access to radio and TV news broadcasts and English and Arabic newspapers and magazines. Currently, Al-Owhali claims, he is only provided with month-old copies of USA Today, "with several pages-sections removed."

# 47. Hitman

Hitman was always a great game series. A groundbreaking series if you were to ask me. It was one of those games that actually suspended reality and basically made you the character's personality. Hitman goes far beyond an intelligent series... It's brilliant!

Now the movie is about to hit theaters and I can barely contain my excitement. If any game was destined to become a great movie, this would be the only one! Thank God they decided not to cast Vin Diesel. Enjoy:

An Artful Stabbing

This one comes straight out of the high school from which I graduated:

LAS CRUCES - An apparent altercation in an art class at Mayfield High School led to one student being stabbed and another arrested by police Wednesday.

Las Cruces Public Schools spokeswoman Jo Galvan said the two students were in a classroom shortly before noon when one - identified as sophomore Adrian Nuncio, 15 - picked up a short-bladed X-Acto knife and used it to stab a 17-year-old once in the torso.

The victim was taken to an El Paso hospital. His injuries were said to be non-life threatening but his condition was not immediately known. No other injuries were reported.

Interestingly, this incident is on the heels of a column written by Dorothy Parvaz of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer in which she claimed to
understand the artistic power of burning down a historic church. I wonder if she can find the irony in a student stabbing another student inside of a high school art class?
