What was the biggest mistake the Democrats made in the 2004 presidential election?
–Nominating John Kerry.
The Democratic Party let their leftist tendencies get the better of their judgment. They chose the most liberal candidate on the ticket and ran straight into a wall… the American people.
And now, it seems, the conservative base of the Republican Party is falling in love with an unelectable far-right candidate. –Mike Huckabee.
With increasing support among evangelicals and people from the South, Mike Huckabee has jumped to 1st place in the polls. Like the liberal base of the Democratic Party, far-right conservatives are dying for someone who appeals to their ideological values. And like the Democrats, most conservatives have let that desire blind them.
Politics is about getting what you can, when you can. We need a moderate, electable candidate or we will lose.
