Hillary Clinton Impresses on the O’Reilly Factor

Wow! I was impressed.

When you get tough questions and vigorous conversation you tend to get real answers. She took the questions from O’Reilly like a great politico should and was able to make clear her views.

If every candidate went on a forum like the O’Reilly Factor, we would be able to discern the true candidates from the skewed portrait created for us by the mainstream media.

Update, Interview Day Two:

Hillary Clinton gave a very sound interview and answered most questions in a very thought-out manner. She scored some points in my book.

Dems Use Dead Troops for Political Gain

Remember when the DNC tried to raise money off of the deaths of Hurricane Katrina victims? Remember when prominent Democrats likened the U.S. military to the forces of Stalin, Nazi Germany and compared Guantanamo bay to the Soviet Gulags?

How about when Murtha falsely claimed that US Marines were, cold blooded killers? Or When John Kerry claimed that US troops were breaking into Iraqi homes in order to terrorize women and children? Or maybe you remember before the 2004 election when Democrats were championing the exposure of covert intelligence? -Because, I sure as hell do.

And now,
here we go again:

DNC Attack Ad Using IED Attacks

Not only does the DNC distort what John McCain said, but they used footage from the proven liar and propagandist, Michael Moore. –Dems, once again, reveling in the deaths of American troops in the off chance that it helps them get elected. Nothing is more disgusting.

Alan Colmes Compares Rev. Wright to MLK

Alan Colmes just compared Reverend Jeremiah Wright to Martin Luther King, Jr.

In the opening segment of Hannity & Colmes, Alan Colmes compared the words of Martin Luther King with those of Rev. Wright; claiming that if we went back in time and scrutinized Mr. King the way that we have scrutinized Rev. Wright, "we might not have a Martin Luther King Day".

It seems the Barack apologists will now stop at nothing.

McCain: I’ll be Hamas’ Worst Nightmare

Everybody knows that our enemies prefer a Democratic Party victory over John McCain. But it’s always great when groups like Hamas publicly support a Barack Obama presidency. And it’s even better when Johnny Mac comes out and smacks the American public over the head with it. –Just as a little reminder:

(Breitbart.Com) Republican John McCain took a shot at Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama on Friday, saying he was the candidate for the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas.

"I think it's very clear who Hamas wants to be the next president of the United States," said McCain, his party's presumptive presidential nominee, in a conversation with conservative bloggers.

According to a transcript posted on the website of the Weekly Standard magazine, he said: "I think that people should understand that I will be Hamas's worst nightmare ... If Senator Obama is favored by Hamas I think people can make judgments accordingly.

I honestly hope that the Democratic Party understands that Barack Obama is going to be crushed. Because as much as I love seeing their dreams collapse every election year... I think it's best if they're prepared.

Phoenix Suns Go Down in Flames

I’m about to have a sports hernia. –Not from playing… but from watching the Suns go down in flames. [Suns lose 115 to 99]

I knew when they traded “The Matrix” for the “Big Cactus” the season was done. -Shaq is about two steps slower than a damn cactus.

The Suns effectively ruined the greatest run-and-gun offense in the history of the NBA with that beetle-headed trade. All in the hope that Shaquille O'Neal could Kazaam his way back to his championship form.

I hope you now realize, Steve Kerr, what over-thinking will do to you. The Suns didn’t need a big man in the paint to beat the Spurs. If they weren’t playing San Antonio plus the
corrupt refs last season, the Suns would have won the NBA title (but let’s not go through that BS again).

On Second thought, yes, let’s watch it again –If you haven't seen it,
see it-

The point is: you don’t trade an all-star like Shawn Marion for a washed up center who can’t even jump higher than the height of his own sneakers.

The Suns have been the greatest sports team to watch for the last few years. –Now, they’re just a mediocre half-court team.

I want the old Suns back! And if Phoenix gets swept by San Antonio, I hope that it's not Mike D'Antoni who gets fired... I hope whoever is most responsible for trading Marion, gets the ax.

Jimmy Fallon to Succeed Conan O’Brien

Keep Cool My Babies!

After months of speculation, Jimmy Fallon has sealed a deal to succeed "Late Night" host Conan O'Brien on NBC in 2009, sources said.

O'Brien, whose show airs at 12:35 a.m., is moving into the 11:35 p.m. slot next year after "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno's retirement, which was announced in 2004.

NBC is expected to make the announcement May 12 during its upfront event in New York.

The deal gives Fallon and "Late Night" executive producer Lorne Michaels enough time to assemble a team and prepare for Fallon's takeover after O'Brien's departure, expected in January.

My Kind of Church

Let me have a little bit of God… shaken, not stirred:

SIDNEY, Ohio (AP) - At its inaugural service, a new church in western Ohio offered a sermon and prayer - along with a mechanical bull-riding contest and beer on tap.

The drew about 100 people to Sunday night's first meeting at the Pub Lounge in Sidney, 35 miles north of Dayton.

The barroom church is an offshoot of Sidney United First Methodist Church, whose head pastor says he's been looking for creative ways to reach people in unconventional places. Rev. Chris Heckaman says people really seemed to enjoy themselves during Sunday's hourlong service, so he expects the Country Rock Church will meet weekly.

Heckaman's first sermon was a sort of bull-riding lesson. He compared staying on the mechanical bull to learning how to get along in life.

The Walking American Clueless

If there is one thing we know about political elections, it is that nothing serious is ever discussed or debated. Each timid presidential candidate is afraid to address any relevant issues with complete forthrightness. Each candidate hides behind an army of trained monkeys.

All the while, 1 in 4 female teens carry at least one STD, and the youth of America continues to grow increasingly inept. Bob Herbert of the NYT points out the question, although, provides no solution:

We don’t hear a great deal about education in the presidential campaign. It’s much too serious a topic to compete with such fun stuff as Hillary tossing back a shot of whiskey, or Barack rolling a gutter ball.

The nation’s future may depend on how well we educate the current and future generations, but (like the renovation of the nation’s infrastructure, or a serious search for better sources of energy) that can wait. At the moment, no one seems to have the will to engage any of the most serious challenges facing the U.S.

An American kid drops out of high school every 26 seconds. That’s more than a million every year, a sign of big trouble for these largely clueless youngsters in an era in which a college education is crucial to maintaining a middle-class quality of life — and for the country as a whole in a world that is becoming more hotly competitive every day.

Ignorance in the United States is not just bliss, it’s widespread. A recent survey of teenagers by the education advocacy group Common Core found that a quarter could not identify Adolf Hitler, a third did not know that the Bill of Rights guaranteed freedom of speech and religion, and fewer than half knew that the Civil War took place between 1850 and 1900.

“We have one of the highest dropout rates in the industrialized world,” said Allan Golston, the president of U.S. programs for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In a discussion over lunch recently he described the situation as “actually pretty scary, alarming.”

Roughly a third of all American high school students drop out. Another third graduate but are not prepared for the next stage of life — either productive work or some form of post-secondary education.

When two-thirds of all teenagers old enough to graduate from high school are incapable of mastering college-level work, the nation is doing something awfully wrong.

Mr. Golston noted that the performance of American students, when compared with their peers in other countries, tends to grow increasingly dismal as they move through the higher grades:

“In math and science, for example, our fourth graders are among the top students globally. By roughly eighth grade, they’re in the middle of the pack. And by the 12th grade, U.S. students are scoring generally near the bottom of all industrialized countries.”

Many students get a first-rate education in the public schools, but they represent too small a fraction of the whole.

Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, offered a brutal critique of the nation’s high schools a few years ago, describing them as “obsolete” and saying, “When I compare our high schools with what I see when I’m traveling abroad, I am terrified for our work force of tomorrow.”

Said Mr. Gates: “By obsolete, I don’t just mean that they are broken, flawed or underfunded, though a case could be made for every one of those points. By obsolete, I mean our high schools — even when they’re working as designed — cannot teach all our students what they need to know today.” -Continue Reading-

The Short Story that Scarred My Life

At 24 years of age I am a very cynical person. I would even say that I’m extremely cynical.

Recently, I had a bit of free time and I was trying to place this cynicism; trying to figure out where it came from. After a good hour of reflection I realized that I was afraid. I realized that the cynicism has grown from fear.

But where did this fear come from?

Granted, I’m relatively young but I've had my [un]fair share of tragedy. Like most people who have dealt with things like an untimely death, I’m afraid of how (God forbid) I would deal with something like that if it happened again. And its more than a fear… it is dread. However, the prospect of grief is not what frightens me the most. What frightens me the most is the thought that what could happen is somehow a product of my selfishness or greed.

I’m afraid that because I want something great in my life, it could come at the expense of loved ones. That if I pray, or want, or wish for something bad enough, I might be dooming my family (like how most great artists are great because they suffered with unbearable tragedy throughout their life). -This mindset terrifies me.

From here, I was getting a little mad. I was wondering why I felt this way. And for some reason it just hit me. -You know how sometimes you suddenly realize something that you’ve always known about yourself and all you can say is, wow.

Well, I tried to recall where this fear-based thought process began. And like everything wrong with this country I came to realize that school had really messed me up. I’ve long forgotten (repressed?) most things that I’ve learned in elementary and middle school. But the one piece of literature that stuck in the back of my mind was a short story by W.W. Jacobs. –“The Monkey’s Paw”

Murtha: McCain is a Cold Blooded Killer

According to John Murtha, on Senator McCain’s recent Baghdad trip, he went into a murderous rage because the base camp only offered Aquafina bottled water; not Evian. And the thought of having Aquafina instead of Evian was not something the former POW could handle. Bush’s choice to opt for the less expensive Aquafina really took a toll on the Senator.

McCain hitched a ride on the closest convoy headed to Haditha, looking for revenge. Alas, upon arrival McCain could not find a single person responsible for this calamity. So he did what all US personnel do when President Bush sends them to Iraq… he went on a random murder spree. -Murtha is already comparing this incident to the notorious My Lai Massacre. He’s calling it: May Lai McCain.

Oh, and Murtha also thinks McCain is too old to be president

Another Left-Wing Idea Gone Terribly Wrong

Gee, I wonder what would happen if the world abruptly switched from fossil fuel to bio-fuel (other than collapsing whole economies and starving millions of people, of course)? Well:

(New York Times) The idea of turning farms into fuel plants seemed, for a time, like one of the answers to high global oil prices and supply worries. That strategy seemed to reach a high point last year when Congress mandated a fivefold increase in the use of biofuels.

But now a reaction is building against policies in the United States and Europe to promote ethanol and similar fuels, with political leaders from poor countries contending that these fuels are driving up food prices and starving poor people. Biofuels are fast becoming a new flash point in global diplomacy, putting pressure on Western politicians to reconsider their policies, even as they argue that biofuels are only one factor in the seemingly inexorable rise in food prices.

In some countries, the higher prices are leading to riots, political instability and growing worries about feeding the poorest people. Food riots contributed to the dismissal of Haiti’s prime minister last week, and leaders in some other countries are nervously trying to calm anxious consumers.

At a weekend conference in Washington, finance ministers and central bankers of seven leading industrial nations called for urgent action to deal with the price spikes, and several of them demanded a reconsideration of biofuel policies adopted recently in the West.

Mark my words: Knee-Jerk liberalism will one day destroy the world. It already killed 3 million Cambodians.

Obama Shocker: He’s Not Jesus!

And I have to admit… I was so damn close to painting my face black, embracing racist lunatics, blaming the Jews, befriending known terrorists, and speaking down to lesser town-folk in order to join the Obama faithful. But now that he has admitted imperfection… well, I just can’t, in good conscience, see myself kneeling.

STEELTON, Pa. lashed out Sunday at Democratic rival , mocking her sudden vocal support for gun rights, and saying he better understands the concerns of working class people.

The Illinois senator has spent three days on the defensive after comments he made at a San Francisco fundraiser suggesting working class people are bitter about their economic circumstances and “cling to guns and religion” as a result. Clinton has pounded him for the remarks, calling him “elitist and divisive.”

“Now I am the first to admit that some of the words I chose I chose badly, because as my wife reminds me, I’m not perfect. She reminds me of this frequently, and events often remind me as well,” Obama said, reiterating his regret for his choice of words.

“So I’m not a perfect man and the words I chose, I chose badly. They were subject to misinterpretation, they were subject to be twisted, and I regret that. I regret that deeply.

Why have you forsaken me?

Worst. Robber. Ever.

Alicia Keys Goes All Rev. Wright

I’ve always liked Alicia Keys. I’ve always thought that she was a lesbian, too. Anyway, her and Rev. Wright might get along well together:

NEW YORK (AP) - There's another side to Alicia Keys: conspiracy theorist. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter tells Blender magazine: "'Gangsta rap' was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. 'Gangsta rap' didn't exist."

Keys, 27, said she's read several Black Panther autobiographies and wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck "to symbolize strength, power and killing 'em dead," according to an interview in the magazine's May issue, on newsstands Tuesday.

Another of her theories: That the bicoastal feud between slain rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. was fueled "by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing."

So, Whitey and the Jews killed Tupac after making him a multimillionaire in order to stop him from leading the hood to the promised land…? Did I get that right?

–See what happens when you read books, kids.

This Guy Says McCain is Too Old

Thanks, Now Go Away

Young Girl Attacked for Anti-Illegal Immigration Sign

More than HALF the prison population in California is made up of illegal aliens. 17% of all inmates in the United States are illegal aliens from Mexico. Hundreds, if not thousands, of Americans have been murdered by illegal aliens since the start of the Iraq war. –Nothing here to protest, right?

ATHENS, Texas (AP) - An East Texas girl who made an anti-illegal immigration sign as part of a U.S. history class assignment said she was beaten by other students.
Her sign said: "If you love our nation, stop illegal immigration."

The father of Melanie Bowers, 13, of Athens said he's keeping her out of classes until probably next week until the situation is resolved.

"She's upset, first and foremost, because she didn't feel like she had any reason to be attacked," J.R. Bowers told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "She loves going to school. We're having to keep her out because we're scared for her."

As a class project, students made "protest signs" about past and current issues.
Melanie Bowers took her sign to school March 31. J.R. Bowers said his eighth-grade daughter was attacked Friday in a hallway. She suffered scrapes and bruises and later sought medical attention.

Shera Bowers said her daughter's sign was torn up at school.

And in the typical display of politically correct cowardice, the school’s superintendent justified the attack:

Superintendent Fred Hayes said the investigation continues.

"I think that probably what we ought to look at is, if it's a current issue, we probably don't need a protest poster made on that issue," Hayes said.

No, I think what you probably ought to look at, is the illegal alien infestation of your public schools. I think what you ought to look at is the fact that a girl was beaten because she loves her country.

Update: the little bitch is a crazy self-mutilator who made up the whole damn story about being attacked.

McCain Has Only One Choice for VP

Condoleezza Rice

First, let me say that it really doesn’t matter in terms of the general election who Senator McCain picks to be his Vice-President. This country will NOT vote for an inexperienced phony (no offense to supporters) like Barack Obama over an American hero like John McCain. –Not on any day of the week!

It has nothing to do with Obama’s race; rather it has to do with the simple fact that Senator Obama associated (continues to associate) with anti-Semitic, racist America-haters. In fact, he is inspired by racist, America-haters. Now, this association may have bought him points in the Democratic nomination but this has already crushed him with unbiased swing voters. Even older white Democrats, moderate Democrats, and Independents will vote for McCain.

Moving to Ms. Rice and my support of her:

In the middle of President Bush’s second term I hoped that for the betterment of the Republican Party, the administration would have retired Dick Cheney and made the historic move of appointing Condi Rice to the position of Vice President. It would have set up Republican control of the White House for another 8 years. Alas, my hopes for Ms. Rice came and went.

However, hope springs… occasionally. Not only do we have a most assured victory for the 2008 presidential election but we now have an opportunity to secure 12 years of White House control.

Condi Rice is inarguably, brilliant. Her personal story is really unmatched by any high ranking government official. In fact, it is a true American story. She is the only, true black leader in the entirety of the United States. And she is not the typical race-baiting Jesse Jackson and she is not the ungrateful and condescending Obama family.

I understand the average American voter because I am the average American voter. -A one time Democrat turned hawkish Republican looking for realistic solutions to complicated problems. And Ms Rice can provide the certain type of leadership that we need in the coming years. Because you don’t have to necessarily agree with every single policy of a particular candidate; but real leaders garner respect despite political differences. No one in Washington, perhaps the entire nation, garners more respect (not even Bush himself) than Condoleezza Rice.

She is a renowned scholar who can truly bridge the divide between success and poverty because she has already built that bridge. And it is my dream to one day have a black, woman president residing in our beloved White House. -A woman who our enemies fear and our allies respect. -A woman with character. -A woman who survived the segregated South to rise higher than any other African-American politician in the history of the United States. -- That woman is Condoleezza Rice.

Perfect Timing, Breaking Update: Condi is actively pursuing the VP spot

ACLU Crusading to Save Khalid Sheik Mohammed

I don’t think the ACLU has met a cold-blooded terrorist that they didn’t like

(McClathy Washington Bureau) The American Civil Liberties Union, which for years has scorned Pentagon military commissions as "kangaroo courts,'' announced Friday that it will try to provide top civilian defense attorneys for alleged terrorists facing trial at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba — including the alleged mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Former Attorney General Janet Reno is among top lawyers who've endorsed the $8.5 million effort, which will help coordinate and defray the expenses of civilian defense attorneys working on the terrorism cases. Under the military commissions scheme, the Pentagon won't reimburse volunteer civilian attorneys for their expenses.

ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero said a major thrust of the effort will be to defend Khalid Sheik Mohammed, who military officials say has confessed to masterminding the 9-11 attacks and several other terrorist acts, including the beheading in Pakistan of Wall Street Journal correspondent Daniel Pearl.

The ACLU chose to focus on Mohammed's defense, Romero said, because he appears to be "the government's top priority in the prosecution. And whether or not they are able to convict Khalid Sheik Mohammed under these rules may well determine the fate of the almost 300 other men who are detained at Guantanamo.''

As well as murdering 3000 Americans on 9/11, Khalid Sheik Mohammed was also responsible for the beheading of Daniel Pearl. And to grasp the barbarity of this offense, I suggest, to those who have not seen the propaganda video, to watch it very carefully. -Video-

Aghast: Bill and Hillary are Loaded

The bombshell news broke as if Hillary announced that she was, in fact, a man and Bill was really a flaming homosexual.

(USA Today) New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton just released her tax returns for the years 2000 through 2007.

The Clintons' income over the eight-year period was more than $109 million. They paid nearly $34 million in taxes over the period, 31% of their income, and contributed about $10 million to charity.

Former president Bill Clinton's speeches brought in nearly $52 million and his books nearly $30 million. Hillary Clinton's book Living History earned her $10.3 million.

As a struggling college student it comforts me to know that the $100 million Democratic couple is feeling my pain.

Mexican Army @ War with Juarez Police

This type of news is hardly reported by the national media but down here in Southern New Mexico, this is everyday stuff.

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico -- EL PASO, Texas -- A total of 11 Juarez police officers were arrested in the last couple of days in the violence-plagued city of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Some people worry the violence will carry over to El Paso and others think it's just hurting tourism.

A total of 11 Juarez police officers were arrested on charges of carrying drugs in their patrol cars. But this operation only brought upon more violence in Juarez. A shooting between some members of the Mexican Army and Juarez police officers exploded in the streets because officers refused to take part of the operation to check for illegal arms and drugs.

Also, an anonymous tip lead the Mexican Army to a house where they found drugs, arms and three hostages; one of them an El Paso resident. They said they were asked to give up the names of their drug dealers in exchange for their freedom.
